Case Study : Door Aperture - BAE SYSTEMS
The Nimrod Aircraft has been going through large modifications, and due to it being a legacy aircraft it has minimal CAD data within the fuselage and empennage areas. This particular measurement was to capture data of the rear door aperture of the aircraft and also capture data of the door. This would then enable BAe engineers to analyse the alignment of door to aperture.
The measurements were captured using the Leica Absolute Tracker, T-Probe and T-scan. The analystic software was POLYWORKS.
