Components – Final Inspection.

Our metrology team offers vast amount of knowledge and expertise in component measurement within all industries. Below is a example of a large volume component inspection.

Aerotech Example:

We currently inspect features on commercial and military aircraft wing box assemblies which includes the root end volume, spoiler alignment, ailerons hinge line, flap track angle and engine pylon assembly.

All components are measured using our laser trackers which is carried out by measuring all datum's and all critical features and then comparing the data to nominal Catia models, aircraft geometry points and also 2D ICY drawings. A final inspection report is then compiled and cascaded to production engineers for the certification of the assembly to be completed.
